Three registered dietitians united by one belief: every person has the right to a peaceful, healthy relationship with food and their body.
The name Sollus comes from Latin — meaning whole, entire, unbroken. That's the lens through which we approach every client's care.
We believe in treating your entire self — body and mind — because healing rarely happens in isolation. Our eclectic team of Colorado dietitians takes a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach to help you normalize your eating patterns, find peace with your body, and enjoy food and movement without constant obsession.
We don't believe there are "good" or "bad" foods. We believe everyone can learn to nourish themselves with confidence. And we believe it's critical to have a strong, supportive team alongside you — whether that includes your dietitian, therapists, family, or friends.
Food has become an enemy and a form of self-sabotage for so many, rather than to be used for enjoyment to fuel our bodies. Janelle doesn't believe there are good or bad foods — though nutrients do feed our brains and bodies in different ways. The more rules we create around food, the more we create cravings and obsessions rather than a sense of peace and control.
While specializing in eating disorders and disordered eating across all ages, Janelle works with a broad spectrum of nutrition concerns — from gastrointestinal issues and gut health to guiding women through healthy pregnancies.
Janelle spent ten years working with inpatient treatment teams serving men and women with eating disorders before founding Sollus in 2013 to better address the needs of her patients. She holds a BS in Human Nutrition from UNC and a Masters in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition.
Understanding nutrition can feel impossible in a world where information becomes skewed by diet culture and trendy food fads. Emily's goal as a registered dietitian is to provide the space where clients can break it all down and learn about nutrition from a neutral lens.
Emily practices from a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach to help clients work toward finding peace with food and their body. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist with over 10 years of experience in eating disorder treatment and a deep belief that every person has a chance at full recovery.
She strongly believes that in recovery, working toward Intuitive Eating is possible, and utilizes principles of this approach in her nutrition counseling. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, exploring Denver's restaurant scene, skiing, and time with her husband and two pups.
Shane has always had a passion for helping people. She began in behavioral science before moving into nutritional science, and has held firm in her belief that all foods can fit. She has been a registered dietitian since 2012 with nine years of specialized experience at an eating disorder treatment center.
Shane's non-biased approach to eating disorder treatment encompasses anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and ARFID. Her seven years of dedicated sports nutrition work with athletes navigating eating disorders makes her particularly well-suited for athletic clients.
She holds a BS in Behavioral Science from Metropolitan State College of Denver and an MS in Nutritional Science from California State University, Los Angeles. Though a Colorado native, time in LA deepened her passion for diverse nutrition counseling. She loves paddle boarding, hiking, skiing, and camping.
